New signs help direct traffic from the highway into Tilbury. The desire to have a greater presence along the 401 came to light from the Business Owner Survey conducted in 2011.

The Tilbury Downtown Revitalization Project has purchased signage along Highway 401 through the ‘Rural Downtown Sign Program’ of Tourism Oriented Directional Signage (TODS). These signs were installed in January and will be present for three years.

The signs are located on the highway as well as on the off-ramp. The eastbound sign is placed at exit 56 and the westbound sign is placed at exit 63, directing traffic towards our central business district. The ramp signs feature a directional arrow and the kilometers.
