Hope everyone is enjoying this beautiful Friday! Along with this warm weather, we have a lot to look forward to.

Your understanding is appreciated as the contractor works towards completing the final steps of the Downtown Revitalization project. Please see the most recent update below regarding the milling, scheduled to begin May 12^th, and the paving, scheduled to begin May 19^th:

The contactor has confirmed that the milling operation will start this Tuesday May 12, 2015 and will most likely take 2 days.

The asphalt paving will start the following Tuesday May 19, 2015 and may also take 2 days. Obviously these dates are weather permitting.

As I mentioned earlier, this will be disruptive as they cannot only do small portions at a time. The on-street parking will be eliminated while they are doing the work. The time (approx. 1 week) in between the milling and asphalt paving operations will allow on-street parking in the interim.

The contractor is delivering notices to the businesses and residents in the affected area.

Just think this will all be done before Summer. Soon we will also have our newly refinished benches and garbage receptacles out, our new Spring/Summer banners up and our downtown sound system installed. The Horticultural Society will also be planting the May long weekend, weather permitting. It will all be worth it. I am quite excited to see everything come together!! Hope you are too!
